Introduction
When working with the Incoming configuration and setting up the Subscriber, you might have faced the following case: while importing a file in CSV/XLSX and setting up the Filesystem as the Subscriber, running the process gives you as many tasks as rows contained in the imported file. However, sometimes it causes real trouble if you have a limited number of tasks per license. Besides, on some occasions, it’s just complicated to have a look at the whole picture and try to find proper information from each task.
So here we are to tell you how to group multiple rows in one entity using CSV/XLXS files.
“How-to” instruction
Follow these steps to navigate the described functionality:
- Create the Incoming configuration;
- Set up Filesystem as Subscriber;
- Select a corresponding filesystem from the list;
- Select Parser.
Note: For the described option to group multiple rows in one entity, be aware to select CSV or XLSX from the dropdown when setting up Parser.
Below the Parser settings you can see the “Group multiple rows in one entity” checkbox.
Until the checkbox is unselected, once you run the Incoming configuration, you’ll get as many tasks as there are rows in the corresponding file.
To have one task that contains all rows, mark the “Group multiple rows in one entity” checkbox and fill in extra settings if needed.
The “Items in group” field allows you to select as many rows as you want to proceed with or you can select 0 by default, which means the entire file will be processed.
In addition, it’s also possible to limit the number of files and parsed files for processing and stop the execution of processes when an error is thrown by the system.
