Introduction

Some customers prefer not to have their environments automatically updated every two weeks. To address this, we support the Long-Term Support (LTS) release cycle, which reduces update frequency for greater stability.

Previously, switching between release cycles (LTS or Latest) required contacting support. This feature allows users to manage their environment’s release cycle preferences directly, ensuring greater autonomy and flexibility.

Follow this guide to learn more details about managing automated updates via the Alumio dashboard.

Guide

Step 1: Navigate to More → System → Settings in the menu panel at the top of the page.

Step 2: Select the Latest or LTS version.

Latest version

The latest version is released every 2 weeks.

LTS version

The Long-Term Support (LTS) version is released quarterly, at the beginning of each quarter. It remains in Release Candidate status for one month in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments before being deployed to production. This approach allows you to test the new LTS version in UAT prior to its production release.

Note: Updating from the LATEST version to an LTS version will not downgrade your environment, instead, it will update to the next LTS version when that becomes available.
