I would like to be able to define a port in the MSSQL client configuration, just like is the case with MySQL now. Currently, I need to provide it as a comma-separated value in the server field.

Could you please confirm if there is any problem with using the same field now?
Not entirely sure what you mean, but I could work around it using the server field in the MSSQL client form. That field allows input using a comma-seperated value, where you can set it up like [server],[port].
I noticed the MySQL client did have a separate port field, so it would have saved me some research and testing if that was also available for MSSQL.
