Option to visually collapse a conditional transformer

Hello,

When using conditional transformers with multiple actions in it, it becomes a long scroll to be able to see the entire conditional transformer.

It would help a lot if you were able to collapse the then, if then, else parts of conditional transformer, because if you are working on a part of the conditional the other part is irrelevant and only clouds your vision.

For other transformers like the Node transformer this could also be helpfull.

Kind regards,

Wietze Nauta

Hi @Wietze

Thank you for sharing this thoughtful feedback with us.

We understand the issue you’re encountering. When a conditional transformer contains many actions, it can become difficult to scroll through and keep a clear overview of the IF / THEN / ELSE structure. Having collapsible sections would indeed make it much easier to focus on the specific part you’re working on.

While this exact feature isn’t available at the moment, we do want to highlight the Overview, which provides a more compact, structured view of the transformer. Even though it doesn’t fully replicate collapsible blocks, it offers similar benefits:

  • It gives you a clear outline of all sections inside the transformer.
  • You can click any item in the overview panel to jump directly to that part of the transformer, eliminating the need to scroll manually.

This can make navigating large transformers much quicker and more manageable.
See the image below :

That said, we agree that collapsible sections would be a valuable usability improvement. So if you think that this overview panel is not help you, we’ll share your suggestion with our product team for further evaluation

Thank you again for helping us make the platform better. If you have any additional ideas or run into anything else, feel free to let us know!

Hello @m.arief ,

This panel overview does help a bit, but without naming every conditional it is hard to see which logic happens in a single view.
When trying to follow data going through the transformer, it is often handy to have the transform tester open with the input data.

Therefore I would still consider it a plus if the transformer collapses with the overview.

Thanks for the consideration.

Hi @Wietze,

Thank you for the reply. We will forward this request to our development team. At this time, we’re unable to provide an estimated timeline for when this feature will become available in Alumio. In the meantime, you can follow updates via our release notes on this page Release Notes - Alumio.
