Introduction
The Search bar allows you to quickly find Tasks, Configurations, and Environment Variables from anywhere in the dashboard. It is accessible via the search icon in the top navigation bar and expands into a full search interface when clicked.
How the Search bar works
Once expanded, the search bar provides categorized results across multiple tabs:
- All – Displays results from all supported categories.
- Tasks – Searches task-related data.
- Configurations – Searches different configurations, for example, Incoming, Outgoing, Webhooks etc.
- Environment Variables – Searches defined environment variables.
Each category has tailored search behaviour to return the most relevant results.
Search behaviour per category
Tasks
The search bar displays tasks by:
- Identifier.
- Entity identifier.
This allows you to locate specific task executions or entity-related tasks quickly.
Configurations
The search supports the display of configurations by:
- Name.
- Configuration type.
This makes it easy to find Routes, Incoming or Outgoing configurations.
Environment Variables
Environment variables can be searched by Name.
Results are displayed as a list of variables, helping you quickly identify and navigate to the correct variable.
Filters and Refinement
Within the expanded search view, additional filters are available depending on the selected category, such as:
- Labels.
- Created at and Updated at (with date and time picker).
- Edited by users existing in the environment.
These filters help narrow down large result sets efficiently.
Result Information
Each result view shows:
- The total number of matching records.
- A scrollable list of results.
- Context-specific information (such as creation date or associated space).
This way, the Search functionality lets you easily find configurations, tasks, and environment variables, shows the total number of results per tab, and allows you to filter by labels, date ranges, and the user who last edited them.
