Introduction

Staying informed about important events in Alumio is key to maintaining smooth integration processes. With the custom contact lists feature, you can easily create and manage groups of recipients who should receive alerts — whether via email or webhook. This gives you full control over who gets notified, making it simple to keep the right people in the loop for system updates, errors, or other critical activities across your Alumio environment.

Use the guide below to see how to create contacts and alerts with the Alerts Recipients feature.

Guide

The Alerts Recipients functionality in Alumio works like a contact list:

  • Assign a name to the recipient
  • Specify which alert(s) they should receive
  • Choose the delivery method — email or webhook
  • Enter an email address or a webhook URI.

This setup ensures your alerts reach the right people, in the right way, at the right time.

Note: There are no limitations on the Alerts Recipients in your Alumio environment.

Step 1: To create a new alert recipient, navigate to any configuration where alerts are used. For example, Routes. In the “Alerts” tab of the configuration, you can create a new alert.

A popup expands, allowing you to input a condition for an alert and add recipients.

Step 2: To add a recipient, you can create a new one or use one from the existing list. If you click on the “Create a new recipient” option, a popup expands with the ability to enter a name and choose how you want to receive alerts - via email or webhook.

If email is selected, you will need to enter an email address.

If webhook is selected, then you need to put a link to the Webhook URI field and adjust other optional information from the popup.

Step 3: By clicking to save the Alert Recipient, the contact will be saved in the Alerts overview: Alumio → More → System → Alerts from the top panel menu.

On the Alerts overview page, you can see the “Alerts” tab set by default, allowing you to view all alerts created in your environment.

Step 4: Additionally, you can update or delete a specific alert. By clicking on an alert in the list, a popup will appear allowing you to modify its settings. You can set a time interval for receiving notifications via email or webhook, and add additional recipients as needed.

To view all existing recipients, navigate to the “Recipients” tab. From there, you can see a list of all recipients, update or delete existing entries, and create new ones as needed.

In addition, by clicking the “Create” button, you can add a new recipient using the same settings as before. Simply choose the delivery method (email or webhook) and enter the corresponding email address or webhook URI. Once saved, the recipient can be reused for delivering future alerts linked to specific configurations in your environment.
