With Alumio version 3.110.0-RC1, we’re thrilled to introduce one of the biggest features we’ve been working on, and it will completely change the way you build integrations: our new Route Builder! If that wasn’t enough, we’ve also upgraded our Import/Export experience with guided validation and inline resolution. Additionally, we’ve added a 24-hour integration view on the dashboard and made improvements to enable flexible task management. It’s safe to say that this release will take the usability and visibility with which you build and manage integrations - to the next level.
What’s new and improved with Alumio version 3.110.0-RC1:
Orchestrate integrations visually with our new Route Builder
Our long-awaited Route Builder is ready to finally go live, and it allows users to build, modify, and manage integrations from one powerful visual interface, start to finish.
- No more tab-switching - map out, build, and expand data flows via one interactive and scalable diagram, instead of navigating between separate Incoming, Route, and Outgoing configurations.
- Direct access to data flow controls - incoming sources, triggers, transformers, and outgoing destinations.
- Manage advanced settings - task retrying, real-time processing, and parallel execution from the same view.
For anyone building or maintaining complex data Routes, this simplifies and elevates your day-to-day integration experience considerably.
Import configurations with clearer validation and guided fixes
We’ve redesigned the Import/Export workflow with advanced validation and guided resolution steps, enabling users to detect and fix missing variables, missing configurations, and invalid data directly during import. The new flow provides clear insights into file issues, allows creating or linking required components on the fly, and ensures configurations can be safely imported without errors.
Get a fuller 24/7 view of integration activity
We’ve added a 24-hour view for integrations, allowing users to see the entire day’s tasks and to avoid missing activity from the previous night. Your selected view is also saved for the next visit, so the dashboard stays aligned with how you prefer to monitor integrations.
Resolved status in scheduled task pruning
Scheduled task pruning now supports the Resolved status, giving users better control over how scheduled jobs are managed and cleaned up over time.
Enhanced task navigation
We’ve improved task navigation by adding previous and next controls within the Task detail view. This lets users move through tasks more efficiently without needing to return to the Tasks overview page each time.
Release dates
- Release candidate 3.110.0-RC1: will be installed in week 14 (sandbox environments)
- Stable release 3.110.0: will be installed in week 16 (production environments)
- Important: these dates apply only to environments configured with the ‘Latest’ update cycle.
Update cycles
Alumio offers two update cycles to choose from. By default, your environment is set to the “Latest” update cycle.
Latest
With the “Latest” update cycle, your environment will always receive the most recent version of Alumio. Updates are first deployed to sandbox environments. Two weeks later, the same version is released to production environments. Every 2 weeks a new version of Alumio is released.
Long-Term Support (LTS)
The LTS version is released quarterly and is based on a thoroughly tested Alumio release that is a few versions behind the latest version, providing extra stability and security. However, selecting this option also means you won’t have access to any newly released Alumio features for a period of three months.
Sandbox environments (such as UAT) receive the LTS version one month before the start of the new quarter (i.e. June), specifically on the first Monday of that month.
The LTS version is deployed to production environments on the first Monday of each new quarter (i.e. July). This provides a full month for testing prior to deploying the new LTS version to production.
You can switch your update cycle through the Alumio interface
- Log in to your Alumio environment.
- Navigate to System > Settings.
- Modify the Update Cycle setting and click Apply to save your changes.
