Database Client

Introduction

Alumio is the leading iPaaS solution, and it comes with a dashboard that provides easy access to connect database instances through database client entities. Alumio supports some common database applications like MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. They make it easier to set up incoming and outgoing configurations as well as other configurations for a specific system. It is because the connectivity to the system is already located within the client. This article is intended to help you understand how one can use the Database clients overview page and create a Database Client, summarizing the majority of configurations.

Configure a Database Client

  1. Navigate to Clients → Database Clients and click on the plus button to create new Database Clients

  2. Choose the prototype, based on your Database Instance
On the Database clients details page you are able to select 4 available prototypes: MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL. Each of them has their own settings you need to fill in to proceed.

  3. Then fill in the required fields.
If you have difficulties with filling out all required fields, a corresponding help text explaining the meaning of the field and how to work with it is displayed under the proper field. Help texts affect all prototypes described above so it makes easier for you to set up the Database client. Besides, default placeholders are also displayed and fields are ordered that way the Database creation looks logical and simple in use.

  4. Save the configurations
