The release of Alumio version 3.97.0-RC1 brings a powerful mix of new functionality, improved usability, and fixes that make Alumio more transparent and reliable to use every day. We’ve redesigned our Audit Trail and users with Spaces now have more flexible control over managing their environment and plans. We’ve also added handy features like allowing you to add custom log messages and favorite most used configurations, along with several other features and fixes that make debugging your integrations and creating smarter workflows even more simple.
What’s new and improved with Alumio version 3.97.0-RC1:
Added control and flexibility in Spaces
We’re excited to announce that Spaces can now be cancelled and reactivated in Alumio itself! Users can manually cancel Spaces, let them expire automatically, or reactivate Spaces, giving you full flexibility in managing environments. Besides that, we have overhauled the Spaces wizard for easier use and added clear “Spaces Terms & Conditions” when creating a new Space for better transparency.
Improved Audit Trail for better traceability
We’ve overhauled the Audit Trail with a clearer design and expanded functionality that records and displays key system activities, including logins, configuration changes, Task actions, Queue management, Environment variable updates, and Space operations. Improving transparency and debugging, it provides detailed logs of requests and responses to help trace platform interactions.
Favorite configurations for quick access
You can now mark configurations as favorites, filter using them, and see indicators directly in the configuration table—making it easier to jump back to the setups you use most often.
Custom log messages for easier debugging
We’ve added a new data Transformer that allows users to write custom log messages with placeholders, log levels, and automatic truncation to simplify integration debugging.
Pagination support in GraphQL Subscriber
We now support pagination in the GraphQL Subscriber, enabling easier handling of large datasets within Incoming configurations.
Clearer documentation in HTTP (API) prototypes
We’ve added inline documentation across all HTTP (API) prototypes and reorganized fields into appropriate tabs to improve visibility.
Restored logging for filtered entities
The logging of filtered entity information in the Incoming process has been restored, adding the ability to disable it via environment variables. We’ve also improved exception handling for clearer debugging.
Faster application of alert settings
Fixed a bug where changes to inactivity and interval alert settings weren’t applied immediately after editing, ensuring alerts are now received without delay.
Release dates
- Release candidate 3.97.0-RC1: will be installed in week 40 (sandbox environments)
- Stable release 3.97.0: will be installed in week 42 (production environments)
- Important: these dates apply only to environments configured with the ‘Latest’ update cycle.
Update cycles
Alumio offers two update cycles to choose from. By default, your environment is set to the “Latest” update cycle.
Latest
With the “Latest” update cycle, your environment will always receive the most recent version of Alumio. Updates are first deployed to sandbox environments. Two weeks later, the same version is released to production environments. Every 2 weeks a new version of Alumio is released.
Long-Term Support (LTS)
The LTS version is released quarterly and is based on a thoroughly tested Alumio release that is a few versions behind the latest version, providing extra stability and security. However, selecting this option also means you won’t have access to any newly released Alumio features for a period of three months.
Sandbox environments (such as UAT) receive the LTS version one month before the start of the new quarter (i.e. June), specifically on the first Monday of that month.
The LTS version is deployed to production environments on the first Monday of each new quarter (i.e. July). This provides a full month for testing prior to deploying the new LTS version to production.
You can switch your update cycle through the Alumio interface
- Log in to your Alumio environment.
- Navigate to System > Settings.
- Modify the Update Cycle setting and click Apply to save your changes.
